    Storyline

    Did you know

    • Trivia
The original version of the film implied that the evil cult of renegades in it based both its beliefs and its philosophy on one of the few books that both remained and survived after the holocaust: "Dianetics: The Modern Science of Mental Health" (1950) by L. Ron Hubbard. When the lawyers for Scientology (which, incidentally, had been both founded and led by Hubbard) discovered this, they threatened to sue Apollo Pictures, who were then forced to remove all references in it to both Hubbard and "Dianetics" as a result of this.
    • Goofs
In the film Ethan says, "We have hydrogen dioxide," meaning water. But water is actually either known as hydrogen oxide or hydrogen hydroxide. Hydrogen dioxide, instead of being H2O, would be HO2, which cannot, and indeed does not, exist in real life.
    • Quotes
      • Ethan: [to Derek Abernathy] Oh, you're back!
    • Crazy credits
After the film's end credits, a post-credits scene is shown with Derek Abernathy (Adam Ant) closing his Bible, making a sign with his right hand and saying, "Let us pray."
