This post-apocalyptic set adventure-fantasy was quite a mixed bag. The last 15 mins sort of lets loose with some striking visuals (mainly water featured backdrops of ancient ruins) and fantastical ideas. Topped off by two mechas coming to blows with a wailing guitar/synth soundtrack. Just the journey getting there is flatly non-engaging and emotionally detached in spite of throwing you straight into Riot's bustling and squabbling treasure hunting life. There we learn personal backgrounds in between random villain attacks with the head bad guy detailing his masterful plans little by little as both parties are after the same thing. Most of the amusement during those parts came from the two Planas' characters - who are of an artificial life form and work alongside Riot. Luckily it's only a 45min ova.
