Trivia
During filming the actors spoke their native language, meaning the audio was recorded in French and German. This original recording is presumed lost. As the film was never sold to a French-speaking country and therefore never dubbed, nobody really wanted those recordings and they were probably thrown out with all other unneeded materials (like outtakes, deleted scenes etc.) when UFA cleared their vaults.

Goofs
At the beginning of the film a barrel falls down and explodes. It is quite obvious that it's not the barrel exploding but the boxes beside the falling barrel.
