Jim Carrey did his first appearance on David Letterman's Late Night right after the show was canceled. After Carrey's wild act of impressions, from Sammy Davis Jr. to Clint Eastwood, Letterman mentioned the show, and Carrey pretended to start crying, then said, "I miss Jack Gilford's stories."

After the credits, the MTM kitten logo forms. An off-screen voice states, "And now, here's the cat!". Instead of meowing, the kitten says, "Quack!" This actually served as the MTM logo... but only for the pilot episode. From there on, it's comedic MTM logo with kitten going "Quack!" followed by formal MTM logo with kitten going "Meow!"
