The next film on disc six of Severin's 'Exorcismo' box set is 'Dimorfo', directed by Rodjara, who also plays the main character Salomón.

I'm not going to say much about this because I think you need to go in with as little knowledge as possible.

What I will say is, whilst there are plenty of socio-political themes that you could associate with it, bearing in mind when it was released and the box set it appears on, it is also an extremely personal film to the director, beautifully made, incredibly sad and utterly unique. You cannot pigeonhole a work like this, it flirts with many genres without sitting comfortably in any of them.

I found it thoroughly intriguing and watching the alternate beginning and end credits, which are a bonus feature and add more to the story, make it even sadder.

It may not look like the things I usually watch and enjoy but I don't just watch horror, sci-fi and bad shark films.

There is also an video essay about Rodjara's career from the makers of the box set, who explain that he is one of the most elusive and evasive people to track down and has only ever given one interview. They did speak to him but he didn't want to appear.

He sounds like an incredibly private individual, but one with a unique voice. 'Dimorfo' is proof of that.
