        Many of the interiors were in fact shot at the Castro Guimaraes in Cascais. The bronze nude statue seen numerous times turns up in many of Franco's films shot in Portugal. It's titled "Girl With Dove" Sculpted in 1924 by French artist Henry Arnold, it now resides on the 2nd floor of the Castro Guimaraes. The garden walkways and decrepit facade where the "voodoo rituals" take place were shot at Palacio Monserrate, also in Sintra.
