Day of the Animals

This film is sometimes mistakenly called a sequel to director William Girdler's previous film, Grizzly (1976), mostly because it basically had the same kind of plot, the same trained Kodiak bear (who was nicknamed "Teddy"), the same executive producer / distributor (Edward L. Montoro), the same director (William Girdler (as mentioned above)), the same production company / distribution company (Film Ventures International (FVI)), and the same two actors, Christopher George and Richard Jaeckel. There was, however, a true sequel to Grizzly (1976) that was released both in theaters and to home video years later and titled Grizzly II: Revenge (1983) (working title: "Grizzly II: The Predator"), but originally it was never completely finished and thus, it was never officially released both in theaters or to home video until January 8, 2021, when it was finally completely finished at last. Before all of this happened, however, an original work print of the sequel both had been leaked and had illegally appeared on the Internet in 2007.

When Steve, Terry and Daniel are running toward an abandoned cabin while a pack of dogs is chasing them, there appears to be a film crew member sitting on a hill in one shot.
