Demon seed spreads through farming family after daughter does deal with the devil

Reminiscent of 'Through the Looking Glass' (1976) in terms of the good vs evil moral choice Hope (Jody Maxwell) makes when she trades her soul to the devil for the love of labourer Joseph, exiled for openly displaying his love towards her sister Faith (Terri Hall, who cops a firm flogging for the PDA). Predictably the deal backfires and the contagious depravity and immorality which subsequently corrupts her family will ultimately claim a high price.

The possessed sinister urges transmitted around the farming family like a rampant STD are graphic and quite intense to watch, primarily the scene in which Hope attempts to satiate her lust with the help of local produce (corn on the cob, carrot and marrow by the looks of it) beckoning the young buck Joseph to break her chastity and fulfil her earthy desires. She may have bitten off more than she can chew.

Although amusing, the tongue in cheek treatment lessens the impact somewhat, so too the amateur grade performances render it a little rough to endure, despite some obvious technical limitations though, the dialogue is quirky and there's enough crude energy and risqué eroticism to hold the interest for an open-minded viewer.
