Director Ray Dennis Steckler was having a very hard time casting the lead female role of Sinthia Kyle for the film. Ted Roter, the actor who played Lennie Kyle, Sinthia's father, in it was on his way to Steckler's office when he had car trouble and got a ride from a young girl, a Sunday school teacher no less. When the two of them came in together and Steckler gave Roter the script, Steckler then looked at the young girl and instantly declared that his Sinthia had been found.
