Hilda Aguirre did not sing her songs but was dubbed by then unknown Estela Nuñez. For years, this was kept a secret, Nuñez never had her name in the credits. It was Enrique Guzman, years later, in an interview, who revealed the truth.

Two versions of the movie were released. One of them, released in Spain, which came out before the second version, had all actors' voices dubbed into Castillian accent, including Castillian-speaking protagonist Manuel Gil and excluding Margot Cottens, with an established career in Spain who had an accent from Uruguay; she dubbed herself, though, adapting her original dialogues to the Spanish modisms. The other version was released in Mexico and had all Mexican actors with their original voices, while Spanish actors had their voices dubbed into Mexican accent, again except Margot Cottens who preserved her voice in her accent from Uruguay, this time in direct sound. Both versions, though, had the songs in the Mexican accent. Other than this, there are also subtle differences of editing between both versions.
