ADVENTURE MOVIE SET IN AFRICA WITH MANY SUB-PLOTS

A gang of viscous murderers lead by George Rigaud, escape custody and kill all the guards transporting them. They are intent on finding a gold mine they know is hidden in the mountains. They will stop at nothing to find it. Local Policeman Ty Hardin, sets out alone to find them. He escapes many dangers along the way including near death captures. He is ambushed and captured by Arabs hunting Elephants for their ivory. He does his share of killing as well with skillful use of his Bowie knife. He meets a saloon girl, played by Pier Angeli, and they fall in love. The saloon owner beats her and Ty kills everyone in the bar and sadly, Pier Angeli is accidently killed. The gang "tricks" Helga Linne (the wife of the mine owner), into revealing the location of the mine. Rigaud "dreams of Paris and all the pleasure gold will buy". He also realizes this is his "last chance" to strike it rich, as he is getting old. "The gold will pay for all of our sins". Instead of the gold he dreamed about, he gets lead instead. Ty Hardin methodically tracks down the escaped convicts on by one and brings them to justice.
