There are feature-length films by Nagisa Oshima that I've not seen, and they should probably be prioritized over more of an oddity like My Bellett, but I didn't have time for much more than a half-hour-long film tonight.

Is this a film, even a short one? It's kind of an advertisement, or a promotional film, but I don't know how this would work as advertising. I can't imagine the company was super happy with what they got, or maybe they were. Maybe this did succeed at the time, and it's just a hard barrier to cross culturally.

For an ad, or a promotional film, or whatever, it's definitely interesting. It strings together a few odd dramedy sort of plots into one short, and I guess each one has a car featured in some capacity. There are shots of cars driving and those parts are pleasing in an advertising sort of way, but this more feels like a series of fairly short shorts that just so happen to feature a car, or cars. It wasn't hugely funny, moving, or surprising, but it was kind of neat and weird enough to make it feel worthwhile. Mostly.
