Serge Nubret says in his biography that he suffered of appendicitis during the shooting of the film, but refused to have surgery, in order not to interfere with the production. The head producer of Ariane Films was very grateful to him for this and did not forget him for future collaboration in the business.

Outside the Gorgon's cave are people that have been turned to stone. One of them, the woman, is visibly breathing though.

This film has been shown in the United States in two versions. One version was re-dubbed in the United States with Jewish accents. The version currently available has a straight English dubbed track.
