In this case, Bugs would be wrong, as, during this era, England was still on the "£sd" monetary system, where the division of a pound was 20 shillings or 240 pence (there were 12 pence to a Shilling). Since Bugs deducted 400 Pounds and 35 Shillings, he more appropriately should've deducted 401 Pounds and 15 Shillings.
