    • Trivia
Submitted to the British Board of Film Censors by Anglo Amalgamated (as Revak the Rebel) and passed with an "A" certificate on 17 October 1961. Anglo didn't secure a general release on the major circuits, but sent the film straight out to the Essoldo group, opening at the Birkenhead Essoldo on 5 November 1961 and the Newcastle Essoldo on 12 November 1961. The London opening was at ABC's Broadway, Hammersmith on 8 January 1962, followed by a profitable take-up by many suburban and provincial independents. For reasons best known to Anglo Amalgamated, the supporting film almost everywhere was musical documentary Rock 'n' Roll Revue (1955). The official newspaper ads hopefully announced the billing as Fantastic Spectacular plus Fabulous Rhythm.
