' Wild Youth ' or ' Naked Youth ' in the UK ( where it was banned ) is a rough film to watch, and there is nothing trashy about the film, despite posters etc that may make a potential viewer think so. There are two interjoining plots ; one involving a killer on the run with his heroin addicted girlfriend played movingly by Carol Ohmart. She alone is worth seeing the film for and the torment she goes through with withdrawal symptoms is heart breaking to watch. A first rate actor she almost steals the film. The second plot involves three young people on the run and the leader of the three is played excellently by the very talented Steve Rowland, and no spoilers but when these two plots join up there is a relentless film noir situation that is compulsively watchable. In my opinion this film is underrated and it can be found on YouTube.
