Phony Express

When Curly is acting like a hound dog, Moe refers to him as "Strongheart." That was the name of one of the earliest animal film stars, active during the 1920s. He died as the result of an accident in the studio. The "Strongheart" dog food brand is named for him.

Wet spots can be seen on Moe's shirt when he hands the sheriff the bottle, even though he has not been sprayed by it, yet.
