At the Front in North Africa with the U.S. Army

The film deals with the period around the end of November/beginning of December 1942 in the area of the Algerian-Tunisian border. At one point it is claimed that the Allies are facing soldiers of the German Afrika Korps. This is not correct, the German forces in the Algeria/Tunisia area were a newly built formation and shortly afterwards received the designation 5th Panzer Army. The Afrika Korps, the older German formation in North Africa, at that time retreated westwards from Libya to Tunisia - hundreds of miles apart from the theater shown in this picture.
