At a construction site, a cigar-chomping lion steps out, raises his hands, and as he conducts the music, the construction crew erects a skyscraper.

It's a pure musical cartoon, with nary a word spoken. It hearkens back to the early days of sound cartoons, when there were the images and the music, and they were synchronized. Director Friz Freleng was a veteran of that period, and before and the sure combination of of Termite Terrace's gags and Carl Stalling's handling of the music offers a happy respite from the talk talk talk of contemporary cartoons.

Freleng would return to this sort of cartoon occasionally throughout the remainder of his time at Warner Brothers, and even after; what are the credits to THE PINK PANTHER but a synchronized cartoon?
