This short was remade as Back Alley Oproar (1948) with Elmer Fudd is trying to sleep and Sylvester keeping him awake..

When Porky first goes to bed in his bedroom, the cat sings 'Figaro'. After hitting the cat with the "boomeranging" vase, Porky goes back to bed, and the cat starts singing 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling'. Suddenly, the room Porky is in is his living room, not his bedroom. After throwing the book 'Dr. Fu Manchu' at the cat (and getting hit with 'The Return of Fu Manchu'), Porky slams the window closed, turns around to walk away, and suddenly Porky is back in his bedroom.

This cartoon was colorized in 1968 by having every other frame traced over onto a cel. Each redrawn cel was painted in color and then photographed over a colored reproduction of each original background. Needless to say, the animation quality dropped considerably from the original version with this method. The cartoon was colorized again in 1992, this time with a computer adding color to a new print of the original black and white cartoon. This preserved the quality of the original animation.
