Most recently, James Lew wrote, directed and starred in a movie inspired by his personal experiences in the business titled 18 Fingers of Death! (2006). The story follows Buford Lee (James Lew), the most famous unknown "B"-minus, low-budget, martial-arts movie star and Ronald Mack (Maurice Patton), a young black kid from the hood. Together they laugh and bond together on their quest to finally make Buford's break out movie, 18 Fingers of Death! (2006).

An only child, Idrissa Akuna Elba is an English actor who was born and raised in London, England. Idris Elba was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) by Queen Elizabeth II at the 2016 New Years Honours for his services to drama, and was knighted by King Charles III at the 2026 New Years Honours for his services to young people.

British actress Naomie Harris was born in London, England, the only child of television scriptwriter Lisselle Kayla. Her father is from Trinidad and her mother is from Jamaica. Delivered a fantastic performance of a reformed street 'hitter' on the HBO show 'The Wire' from season 3 to season 5 with varied screen time. The character reflected the possibility of reformed criminals into positive characters of society; as with Coleman's character starting a boxing gym for the young children/men to stay off the streets and learn a sport.

Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose recently finished filming the lead role of the pilot episode Beast Mode (TBS / Macro), which is based on life of legendary boxing trainer Ann Wolfe. Anika is also serving as Co-Executive Producer.

Born in San Diego, California, Betsy Russell is best known for her starring role as "Jill Tuck," the ex-wife of the Jigsaw Killer in the "Saw" film series. Russell was born into a family of educators--her father, iconic economist Richard Russell, wrote a news letter about the stock market for over 50 years called "Dow Theory Letters," and her grandfather, Max Lerner, was an author and syndicated columnist, said to be one of the great minds of our time. Russell seemed to be destined for greatness and decided to set the bar high for herself when making career moves and setting goals. At 16 years of age she landed her first real gig in the business, a Pepsi commercial in her hometown of San Diego, California. She was born Anne Kathleen Maloney on September 6, 1953 in New York City and grew up in Brentwood, California. Born to one of theatre's leading families, she is the fourth generation of performers in her family to carry the Lockhart name, as the daughter of actress June Lockhart, granddaughter of Gene Lockhart and Kathleen Lockhart, and great-granddaughter of John Coates Lockhart. Her mother is known for her years on the television series Lassie (1954) and Lost in Space (1965).

Anne's professional career has spanned over 50 years. She has appeared in over 60 television series from the 1970s to the present, including Magnum, P.I. Graham Wardle was born on September 6th, 1986 in Mission, British Columbia. He was raised in New Westminister, near Vancouver with his five siblings.
