Sadly, we mark the passing of British actor Timothy James Curry on August 25, 2026 at age 80.
Born April 19, 1946 in Grappenhall, Cheshire, his five-decade career spanned stage, screen, and voice acting. Dr. Frank-N-Furter in The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975) defined cultural iconography; villainous turns in IT (1990), Clue (1985), and The Three Musketeers (1993) showcased his range; voice work in Redwall (1999) and Over the Garden Wall (2014) captivated younger audiences.
Until a 2012 stroke reduced his mobility, he remained prolific across genres. Beyond performance, he supported Great Ormond Street Hospital and Terrence Higgins Trust through fundraising and patronage.
