Biography

Francesco Mucci (30) is a Neapolitan director who has always been active in the world of entertainment. He has a past as a rocker and a real passion for comics. He graduated at the UNIVERSITY OF SALERNO in DISCIPLINE OF VISUAL ARTS OF MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT and then specialized in ENTERTAINMENT SCIENCE AND MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION. Then he graduated at the ITALIAN SCHOOL OF COMIX in SCREENPLAY and STORYTELLING. He continued his studies at the University SUOR ORSOLA BENINCASA with a master's degree in CINEMA AND TELEVISION, which gave him the opportunity to work in the offices of MAD ENTERTAINMENT. He also gained experience at the CENTRO SPERIMENTALE DI CINEMATOGRAFIA DI ROMA in a workshop for CINEMATOGRAPHIC ORGANIZATION. During his studies he began to create a dense network of national and international collaborators for various artistic projects, thanks also to his participation in the GIFFONI FILM FESTIVAL, the FESTIVAL DEL CINEMA DI VENEZIA and COMICON DI NAPOLI. The experience gained in events and in the world of live music, combined with studies of storytelling, culminated in his first short film CORDUROUY, produced, written, directed and edited by him. The short film was quite successful and won an award at the Rome Film Festival for its protagonist, NUNZIA SCHIANO. He then began working in the world of music videos, signing several productions for artists such as DRAKMAH, PEPZ and ADDUCI among others. He signed several works as a cameraman, editor and director in collaboration with TEATRI ASSOCIATI DI NAPOLI for the COMUNE DI NAPOLI, including three short dance videos inspired by GIORDANO BRUNO and a documentary film on the making of a play based on NATALE IN CASA CUPIELLO. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign with more than 100 supporters, he manages to realize PRAEDA his new short film project.
