- Monique Jacot was born on August 19, 1934 in Neuchâtel, Neuenburg, Switzerland. She is known for Faces of Love (1977) and Photosuisse (2004). She was married to Yvan Dalain. She died on August 6, 2024 in Switzerland.

- Her fifteen year project documenting the living conditions of women in Switzerland, the countryside and in the factories, resulted in the publication of the volumes Femmes de la Terre (1989), Printemps de femmes (1994) and Cadences: l'usine au féminin (1999).
- In 1974 she was awarded the Federal prize for Applied Arts.
- Her photos were published in the magazines du, Camera, Elle, L'Illustre, Schweizer Illustrierte, Realities and Vogue Paris.
- In 2005 the Swiss Foundation for Photography in Winterthur dedicated an important retrospective to her.
- Worked on behalf the the World Health Organization since 1959.
