Judi Marmel is an over thirty-year industry veteran and one of the only women founding or running a major comedy/entertainment firm. Known for her exceptional eye for both talent identification and market/audience alignment, her clients are on the Top POLLSTAR Top Comedy Earners List including clients Bert Kreischer, Leanne Morgan, Taylor Tomlinson and Jeff Dunham.
In 2009, Marmel and her partners Robert Hartmann and Stu Schreiberg, founded Levity Live, a leading entertainment company that brings together award-winning production companies, talent management and development, and a network of premium mixed-use live entertainment venues under the Improv and Levity Live brands. Beyond leading the talent management division, Marmel actively participates in the development and execution of the company's global growth strategy. In 2018 Marmel and her team acquired the legendary comedy brand The Improv, which expanded the company's live venue platform.
Marmel works closely with Levity's three production banners - Levity Productions, Triage Entertainment and Lando Entertainment - on both scripted and non-scripted programming across major distribution platforms including Netflix, CBS, Paramount+, Discovery and HBO Max. Over the course of her career, Marmel has Executive Produced on hundreds of comedy specials with some of the biggest comedians in the world.
Marmel's most recent TV and film credits include Executive Producer on Chuck Lorre's HBO Max series HOW TO BE A BOOKIE, Executive Producer on Lorre's Netflix series LEANNE, Executive Producer on the upcoming Netflix series FREE BERT, Producer of Lionsgate's feature film ABOUT MY FATHER starring Sebastian Maniscalco and Robert DeNiro, Producer of Legendary and Sony's feature film THE MACHINE starring Bert Kreischer and Mark Hamill, and Executive Producer on the upcoming Netflix Stand-up Specials from Leanne Morgan and Taylor Tomlinson.
Marmel is an active board member of Comedy Gives Back, which is a non-profit that supports local comedians in their community providing financial relief in times of crisis and mental health and chemical dependency treatment.
