I'm Nicholas Markgraf, a SAG-E voice actor and director specializing in anime dubbing, video games, ADR, and commercial voiceover. I'm available for remote recording worldwide, and if there's one thing that's been a constant throughout my life, it's my love of freedom in storytelling. Ever since I was a kid, I've been fascinated by cartoons and video games and the voices that brought them to life. I spent countless hours imitating characters I heard on them...especially Super Mario 64, not realizing those childhood impressions would eventually grow into a career.
Before pursuing voice acting full-time, I worked in technology and IT, but my passion for entertainment never went away. Working on content creation and developing skill-sets that would ultimately allow me to take the leap and follow the dream I'd been carrying with me for years.
Today, I've had the privilege of working with studios including Disney+, Iyuno SDI, Crunchyroll, Bang Zoom, Arrival Studios and many more, and can be heard across a variety of anime, animation, and video game projects. What I love most about voice acting is the opportunity to step into someone else's shoes and bring unique characters and stories to life. Every role is a chance to connect with audiences in a meaningful way, and I'm constantly working to sharpen my craft and deliver performances that feel genuine, memorable, and emotionally grounded.
When I'm not behind the microphone, I'm a co-owner of LazuArts Entertainment, an Emmy Award-winning dubbing studio with over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to wear many hats, working in nearly every stage of production. From producing award-winning games and animated projects to directing high-profile films and collaborating with some of the industry's biggest names, I love finding creative ways to help great stories reach new audiences. If you'd like to learn more about my work as an ADR director, be sure to visit the Directing page on my website.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me traveling to cool new places, tinkering around with new tech, or adding yet another item to my ever-growing Nintendo collection. I'm also passionate about cinematography, enjoy cooking, and am always up for a Mario Party game that may or may not end a few friendships.
At the end of the day, whether I'm acting, directing, producing, or collaborating with fellow creatives, the goal is to allow stories to have that much needed freedom.
