Jon Hobson

Jon Hobson is a Texas-based, award-winning American cinematographer, editor, and writer. He also has credits for producer, director, and actor. He began making short films in 2007 as a hobby, entering them into film competitions. His first film, Lines (2007), was created for a competition in Dallas, Texas and won Best Cinematography. Since then, he has had multiple nominations and awards for cinematography, editing, and writing and has had multiple films named as finalists in competitions. Eight of his films, I Am Not Alone (2021), Far (2022), onWARD (2023), The Document (2025), Judgment (2025), Dream (2025), E. Enterprises (2026), and Verge (2026) were a single-man production where Jon Hobson was the actor, the cameraman, writer, editor, and director, etc. -- all eight were award-winning films.
