Kumar Bhabesh

Kumar Bhabesh is an Indian singer, composer, and producer in the Assamese music industry. He was born in Gopalpur, Mirza, Guwahati, and his real name was Bhabesh Kumar Kalita. He studied at Pathshala High School from Nursery to fourth grade where he failed four times, then when he was promoted to fifth grade, he changed his school from Pathshala High School to RB High School where he studied till eighth grade, but he dropped out to concentrate on his singing career. When he performed his first concert for the first time, he renamed his name from Bhabesh Kumar Kalita to Kumar Bhabesh in 1993. His first album was "Pori" which was released in January 1996. After that, he released two albums, Puwar and Pratisruti in 1997. He released his fourth overall and first breakthrough album "Dehajaan" on November 1998 by the then new record label "Times Music", which received a mostly positive response and became the 4th highest-grossing Assamese album of 1998. After "Dehajaan", he released several albums like "Maijaan", "Ruksana", "Jeuti", "Xunpahi" etc. Bhabesh has three younger brothers and one daughter whose name is Sanvi Mirza.
