Shivam Sharma is an Indian film director known for his work in Punjabi cinema, television, and digital entertainment. Originally from Himachal Pradesh, Shivam developed an early passion for storytelling, cinema, and the performing arts, which eventually led him to build a career in the Indian film and television industry.
He completed his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and further enhanced his skills through a three-month intensive workshop at the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. After completing his training, he moved to Mumbai and began his professional journey in the film and television industry as an Assistant Director.
During his early career, Shivam worked as an assistant to several directors and gained valuable practical experience across television productions. He was associated with popular television shows including Balika Vadhu, Pratigya, Crime Patrol, Kanch Diyan Wanga, and F.I.R. These experiences helped him develop a strong understanding of direction, storytelling, production, actors, and the technical aspects of filmmaking.
Shivam later made his transition to Punjabi cinema as a director. His directorial journey includes Punjabi feature films such as Sikhi , followed by Kinna Karde Ha Pyar, Bhagat Singh Di Udeek, Dhol Ratti, Aallah Vres, Kammley, and Angrej Putt. He has also directed Pinjra, a Punjabi film created for the Chaupal OTT platform.
Among his notable works, Dhol Ratti received recognition through nominations in different categories at the PTC Punjabi Film Awards. The film also reached audiences through Prime Video, further expanding its digital presence.
Shivam Sharma continues to explore diverse stories and genres while working across Punjabi and Hindi cinema. His upcoming Punjabi projects include Bread and Butter, Angrej Putt, Mithu, and Asi Kudiyan Punjab Diyan. His upcoming Hindi film projects include Hanky Panky and Lift. He is also associated with several upcoming Punjabi web series.
With experience spanning television, feature films, OTT content, and multiple genres, Shivam Sharma continues to establish himself as a filmmaker with a strong connection to Punjabi storytelling while expanding his creative work into the wider Indian entertainment industry.
