Ilkan Atalar

Ilkan is a Turkish filmmaker with more than 5 years of experience in directing in Turkey. Born and raised in Turkey, Ilkan grew up falling in love with filmmaking after watching Tarantino's classic Pulp Fiction for the first time. Since then, he has dedicated his life to studying film for over ten years in Turkey until finally moving to the United States in 2016. Upon entering, Ilkan studied at Kaplan's language school in NYC, dedicating time to learning English and even teaching other aspiring foreign filmmakers in his school about his passion. To date, Ilkan has written and directed 2 short films titled Katy and Linda. Katy and Linda have both received top awards in film festivals nationally and internationally in their categories. Ilkan recently founded his production company called Say Hi Productions.
