  • Tomás Videla is an Argentinian composer based in Los Angeles. Writing for film, television, and media, he creates highly elaborate orchestral music often mixed with hybrid and electronic elements.

Most recently, he received an Imagen Award for his score to Amazon Prime’s The House of the Spirits, the first Spanish-language adaptation of the iconic novel and a Variety Critic’s Pick. His extensive television and feature credits also include contributing music to the Apple TV+ documentary series The Dynasty: New England Patriots, Mattel’s He-Man and the Masters of the Universe for Netflix, Disney’s LEGO Star Wars: Terrifying Tales, Netflix’s A Tale Dark and Grimm, and HBO’s documentary series The Invisible Pilot. Additionally, he worked on Netflix’s Emmy- and HMMA-nominated feature documentary Kangaroo Valley and NatGeo’s Emmy-nominated feature documentary Retrograde.

On the independent circuit, Videla’s piece Midwest Tango was nominated for Best Instrumental at the 2022 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA). He has also scored several acclaimed short films, including Jeong (winner of "Best Original Score" at the Vermios Film Festival), Prom Night (a selection at Reeling and Cinema Diverse with over 5 million views on YouTube), Warm Regards, and the award-winning short Good Neighbor.
