Sean Ohlman is a Chicago-based actor, writer, director, producer and composer whose work spans network television, streaming, and the international festival circuit. Known for his blue-collar intensity and cinematic presence, Ohlman has carved out a distinctive lane as both a compelling performer and a complete filmmaker with a singular creative voice.
As an actor, Ohlman has appeared in NBC’s Chicago P.D., Apple TV+’s critically acclaimed limited series Manhunt, and served as the lead in multiple feature films including Death Streamer (2024) for Full Moon Pictures. His performance as Drew in the short dramatic thriller Blackhatter earned him Best Actor at the Top Shorts Film Festival, with Film Threat praising his work as "dynamic, multidimensional, and perfect."
As a filmmaker, Ohlman wrote, directed, produced and starred in Cold Like War, earning Best Actor at the Norway Fjords International Film Festival. He followed that with Boneyards, a Southern noir crime thriller with a coastal edge for which he also composed an original score, and Homecoming, a coming-of-age drama about a disgraced hometown quarterback returning to his small Southern town. Both films are currently on the festival circuit.
A multi-instrumentalist proficient in guitar, bass and keys, Ohlman brings his musical sensibility to every aspect of his craft. Born and raised in Chicago, he has spent eight years building a professional career across the Midwest, Southeast and East Coast, earning a reputation as a serious artist who creates his own opportunities and tells stories with authenticity, grit and emotional depth.
