Mauricio Carey is a writer, photographer, drummer and fledgling composer/producer from Mexico City via Brooklyn and Atlanta. He has played in a host of bands in his 30-year path as a musician, including the highly lauded Atlanta outfit Babyfat in the early 90's; New York City's Week at the Lake in the early oughts; and Brooklyn's The Go-Kartel from 2002-2017.
His most current projects fall under the umbrella of Sky Blue Sound, a moniker through which he has explored incidental and cinematic compositions, as well as chamber/synth-pop work that has yielded multiple EPs over the past five years.
