Biography

Guy Hodes is an award-winning film producer and director specializing in documentary cinema. He holds an MFA in Documentary Cinema with honors from Tel Aviv University and also graduated summa cum laude from the Sam Spiegel Film & TV School, where he specialized in entrepreneurial producing.

Hodes directed and produced the critically acclaimed short film With Slight Steps, which was shortlisted by BAFTA and has won numerous international awards. His early career involved gaining extensive experience in marketing and distribution at LEV, a leading film distribution company. In 2017, he was invited to serve as a jury member in the student competition at the prestigious San Sebastian Film Festival.

As a freelance producer, Hodes held key positions in various production roles, including Post-Production Supervisor for feature films and Production Manager for documentary films. In 2020, he joined Black Sheep Film Production as Head of Productions. Under his leadership, the company has produced several notable projects, including the co-production documentary "The Return from the Other Planet", which premiered at the 40th Munich Film Festival; the TV mini-series "Innermost", which had its world premiere at Series Mania; the documentary "The Water Front"; and three seasons of the popular TV series "Dismissed".
