  • Flynn Barnard is an Australian and British actor working across stage, screen and voice performance. Born in London and raised on Sydney's Northern Beaches, he trained at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) before graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from the National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) in 2021.

    Alongside his acting career, Flynn is an accomplished musician, songwriter and producer. A pianist, guitarist and vocalist, he has performed extensively as a member of the Sydney band Charli Lucas, bringing a strong sense of rhythm and musicality to his work as an actor.

    Since graduating, Flynn has built a diverse body of work across theatre, film and audio. His stage credits include Will in The Culture at London's Arcola Theatre, Albert Koch in Hydrarchos, and Ted Hughes in Sivvy Plath's Birthday Present, which both played at the Sydney Fringe Festival. Claudio in Bar'd Work's touring production of Much Ado About Nothing, and The Amazing Lucas Girls at Sydney Theatre Company's HerStory Festival. As well as The Decay of Lying, Forgotten, On the Grindstone and À La Carte. His screen work includes his role as Jamie in the UK feature The Bayou and leading roles in the Australian short films Yújìn, Cuéntame and Cigarette Burns.

    His voice work includes narrating Barry Jonsberg's audiobook Darkest Night Brightest Star and performing in the BBC Audio production Ern Malley Poems.

    Flynn's heritage is Australian, English, Welsh and Irish, and he holds both Australian and British citizenship.
