In Chicago Fire's season 6 episode 23 Finale, "The Grand Gesture" Zach plays firefighter Alec Burke who is severely injured due to poor management by his captain. In real life former firefighter Marvin Clark Sr., Zach's father received a similar injury being burn on 80% of his body due to poor management and also won a settlement.
