Bethany is a location sound assistant and filmmaker from Reading, UK.
One half of the production company Dark Avenue Film, she has been writing, directing and producing independent short films with Patrick Crellin since graduating from the University of York's BSc Film and Television Production in 2018. Their films have played at BIFA-qualifying festivals across the world and have won awards including Best British Director for horror thriller The Auteur at the London Director Awards.
Bethany is a graduate of the NFTS Prime Video Craft Academy, through which she has gained extensive experience as a sound trainee in HETV and feature films since 2023, stepping up to 2nd AS throughout 2025. She is experienced in radio miking and second boom, and has worked on productions up to Band 3 scale in both film and television. Mixers worked with include Geoff Wong, Nina Rice and Simon Clark.
