- Nava Rezvani is an Iranian writer, director, and producer. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Cinema and a Master's degree in Dramatic Literature from Tehran University of Art. She began her professional career by making short and feature-length documentaries and several documentary TV series focusing on women's issues, and later became known for two short fiction films.
Her works address contemporary social issues in Iran, the crises faced by women in a patriarchal society, and family relationships under social pressures. Her films have been screened at prestigious international festivals, including Locarno.
Nava Rezvani is a member of the Iranian House of Cinema and the Iranian Documentary Filmmakers Association, and has experience serving on several selection and jury panels; most recently, she was a member of the selection jury for the international and national fiction sections of the 41st Tehran International Short Film Festival (Oscar Qualifying).
She currently lives in Norway and is developing her debut narrative feature film titled Shattered Bone; a socially-themed screenplay set in contemporary Iran, following the story of an independent woman who struggles for her independence amid marital crisis and social pressures.
