Reena Rai is an Indian actress and Miss South Asia 2014, best known for her lead role in the Punjabi film Rang Panjab (2018). Born in California and raised in a politically active Punjabi family, she is the granddaughter of Surjit Kaur Kalkat, a former Cabinet Minister and respected Congress leader from Hoshiarpur. Her upbringing bridged East and West, shaping her into a voice of strength, elegance, and cultural purpose.
Reena gained international recognition after winning the Miss South Asia title in 2014, which served as a catalyst for her entry into Punjabi cinema. Her debut film Rang Panjab paired her opposite actor-activist Deep Sidhu, with whom she shared not just the screen but a deeply spiritual and romantic bond.
She was publicly known as Deep Sidhu's fiancée and his closest emotional and strategic support during his journey as a revolutionary figure in the farmers' protest and founder of Waris Punjab De.
