Freja Refning Hansen is a Danish writer and director with a passion for social justice and environmental issues. With her art she aims to inspire others to take action, start a conversation and find their own inner voice and superpower whatever that is.
Her work includes animation I Worry (2020), a spoken word call to climate action which was selected to Irish Cinemagic Festival, documentary ActNow: An Activist Story (2023) earning her the Best Director award in her hometown and short fiction The Rhyme (2024) based on her own experiences and studies in criminology, that nuances the perspective on the criminal mind and thus was selected to world-renowned Odense International Film Festival.
