Maggie Lovitt

Maggie Lovitt is the Deputy News Editor at Collider. In addition to reporting on the latest entertainment news, she is also an actor and member of the Screen Actors Guild based out of the Mid-Atlantic Region. Lovitt is a Rotten Tomatoes-approved critic, and a member of the Critics Choice Association and National Press Club. She regularly contributes to Collider Behind the Scenes and Collider Set Stories.

Lovitt earned her Bachelor's in Historic Preservation from the University of Mary Washington, where she focused on Colonial American history, British literature, and historic architecture. She earned her Master's in Engaged Anthropology at the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David, where she focused her studies on dark tourism, magic, and the politics of food. Both the University of Mary Washington and the University of Wales, Trinity Saint David have highlighted her career achievements this year.

Her feature-length screenplay 'I Will Always Love You,' has garnered three accolades, in addition to her two pilots 'Like Hell' and 'Something Old, Something New' which have earned two accolades each, and a short film, 'In The Silence,' which has earned five awards.
