Biography

Born in Madrid, he earned advanced degrees in Viola and Pedagogy from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid, studying under Alan Kovacs. He was awarded scholarships from the Carl Flesch Akademie Baden-Baden and the BBVA Foundation to further his studies in Berlin with Hartmut Rohde.

From 2013 to 2018, he served as a professor of viola at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón. He has also been a faculty member of the Jove Orquestra de la Generalitat Valenciana and the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España.

His orchestral experience includes performances with the Orquesta de Radiotelevisión Española, Orquesta Nacional de España, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Valencia Orchestra, and Orquestra de la Comunitat Valenciana at the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía. He has been invited as principal viola with the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orquesta Sinfónica del Principado de Asturias, and Orquestra Simfónica de les Illes Balears. Additionally, he has served as principal viola of JONDE, co-principal viola of the Orchestra of Europe in Bern, and was a member of the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester.

Extensive experience as a solo viola recording artist at Berklee Valencia, Rimshot Estudio, PKO Studios, and Estudio Uno in Madrid, as well as remote recording for Hollywood productions. His recordings include CDs, DVDs, operas, films, and series for platforms such as Netflix, RakutenTV, Unitel Classica, TVE, Antena 3, SkyShowtime, and Amazon Prime Video, with music available on Spotify and Apple Music. Broad international orchestral and chamber music recording experience for labels such as Decca, Naxos, and Sony Classical. His performances include appearances at renowned festivals and iconic venues such as the Wiener Musikverein, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, London PROMS at the Royal Albert Hall, Edinburgh Usher Hall, Salzburg Festival, Zurich Tonhalle, and in cities like Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing.

He has collaborated with esteemed conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Gustavo Dudamel and Riccardo Chailly, as well as renowned soloists including Plácido Domingo, Sonya Yoncheva, Elina Garanca, Gregory Kunde and Hilary Hahn.

Beyond music, he has a deep passion for Real Madrid, gastronomy, painting and theater. Since 2017, he is a member of the Oviedo Filarmonía Orchestra.
