Midhun Eravil is an Indian cinematographer and photographer who predominantly works in Malayalam. After many years of experience in photography and short films, Midhun made his debut with the documentary Thariode (2021), which was released in 2021 and won many awards within and outside the country, including the Kerala State Television Award. Later, he worked for the first found footage film in Malayalam, Vazhiye (2022) and won the Best Cinematographer award at Indie World Film Festival 2022. Later, the documentary film Keni: Preserving Indigenous Food Culture (2022), shot for the National Institute of Advanced Studies, found critical acclaim in many film festivals including International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala and won several awards. He also won 2 other international awards for his cinematography work in his recent film, Dreadful Chapters (2023) directed by Nirmal Baby Varghese.
