Biography

Born on November 18th, 1985, Eduardo Figueroa Gonzalez spent his early years in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico. He started working on a family business selling groceries wholesale in the year 2,000 In this enterprise he spent most of his early years, even before he even considered a filmmaking career

He studied business administration when he was 18 years old, but then dropped out before graduating, once he realized that career wasn't his passion

Around 2014, he took a filmmaking course, a one year technical career in Ciudad de Mexico. It was then, when he made his first short film, a horror 13min short, which he directed, edited and musicalized. Its called "Acinesia"

Then, around 2016 he took a 6 months course in Cuernavaca, Morelos, where he was able to direct 2 short films as a graduation project. Both horror films, "Dejame en Paz" and "Dreams". It was with "Dreams" that he got his first film festival selection at Festival Internacional de Cine de Ciudad Madero (FICCMa) At this time, he also was the cinematographer of his course mates's shorts. Popocateptl, Nigromancia, among others All short films where premiered at the Cine Morelos, the main theatre of the city

After working as cinematographer and co producer in many short films, he decided to direct again in 2018 His Short film "Ya voy, Mama" was chosen as official selection in Morbido Intenational Film Fest, the most prestigious horror festival in Mexico

In 2019 he directed the horror short film, "Sacrificio" and his first Drama, "Parafilia" which was selected in several film festivals around the world.

In 2020 he worked as cine photographer and co producer of the web series, "Ashia 2057" and "Obsidiana" an anthology web series, hand to hand with some of the most talented filmmakers of Cuernavaca.
