Charles Leclerc is trilingual. He is fluent in his native French, as well as English and Italian. He learned Italian as a young driver competing in Italy and from being part of the Ferrari Driver Academy.

Leclerc is an avid fan of football, and supports AS Monaco.

The rivalry between Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen goes back to their karting days in 2012. They competed intensely in the KF2 class, the WSK Euro Series, and the European Championship. At the time, the competition was so fierce that it led to collisions, disqualifications, and tense statements.

2019 Bahrain Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc became the first Monegasque driver to start pole position, to lead a race and to record the fastest lap in a Formula 1 Grand Prix.
