Biography

John Teal Jr. was born on February 7, 1921 in New York City, New York, USA. He was a writer and cinematographer, known for Arctic Roundup (1957) and Omnibus (1952). He died on August 26, 1982 in Huntington Center, Vermont, USA.

Professor of political science, geography and anthropology at the University of Vermont and the University of Alaska. He led numerous arctic expeditions, bred musk oxen at his Vermont farm to assist Alaskan Eskimos, and worked for the Canadian government to develop a reindeer industry.
