Alexandra Tomilina is an award-winning writer/director based in New York City and a graduate of the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute.
She began in immersive theatre, staging "World War II" (2017) and "The Passengers" (2019) in Moscow-worlds the audience could physically enter and inhabit. Her work later moved into film and VR, including "Yes, Darling!" (2021), "Like.Share.Repost." (2019), and "Other People’s Trouble" (2017).
Her directorial debut, "The Old Bench in New York" (2024), shot in Central Park, was born from a confrontation with mortality-a moment that split life into before and after. The film asks what remains when the realization comes too late.
Her latest film, "I Am a Woman," based on a true story, continues this exploration of identity, resilience, and survival. She is also developing a music video centered on a dialogue between a human and AI.
