Mara Natuzzi is an Italian actress, director and writer based in London. She has recently co-directed her first short film "Padre".
She was born and raised in a small town close to Bari in Puglia, South of Italy.
She started acting in local stage productions before moving to Rome to study acting and getting a BA with honors in Drama, Art and Music Studies at Roma Tre University.
She was admitted to the Shakespeare Summer Course at LAMDA in London where she took part in the stage production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream" playing Puck.
She was selected by the acclaimed British artist Lindsay Kemp for his dance theatre production of "Romeo and Juliet" in Verona.
Then she moved to London to pursue her acting career. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama where she graduated in MA Advanced Theatre Practice.
She devised a multilingual and multidisciplinary show "Pan" performing in London and Italy.
She started to act in different film productions in London. She was cast for her first short film "Mi Casa Su Casa" and she was actively involved in devising the short film "The Morning After the Night Before" getting credits as a writer as well.
She is interested in devising and collaborative creative process both for stage and film productions. This led her to devise and co-direct her first short film "Padre".
