Madhu Makkar née Varma is an Indian actress born in 1947 in Bombay, India. She is best known for having played the female lead opposite veteran actor Shashi Kapoor in the film Insaaniyat (1974). She was married to character actor Surinder Makkar with whom she has a son, Sid Makkar. Madhu was married to Surinder until his death in 2019.
