Born and raised in the Cape - it was, therefore, inevitable that I fell in love with the simple beauty the city and its surrounds had to offer.
From an early age, we all knew I would be a "creative"; whether it was music, films, design, or photography I was always involved. I did go to the school of creative learning after all!
I have always loved to tell stories - the use of media gave me the opportunity to express myself in a way I could never before - to speak through visuals captivated me - 10 years later, nothing has changed.
I ventured into the film industry and welcomed the challenge with open arms. I learnt more than I could ever have imagined, from role models who I had dreamed of meeting and in so doing I found my love for producing. To be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and controlled environment for people (like myself) to come together to make magic was truthfully grueling, yet one of the most fulfilling jobs I could have asked for....24 hour days, no sleep, amazing set food, laughter, a lot of "hurry up and waits" and inspiration that I would never have found elsewhere.
My passion for the final steps of creating media has given me the satisfaction of making content on another level in office environments that create families among team members. A solid workflow in this environment is again, magic.
With my experience starting from 2017 in post-production with amazing leaders who created the films I grew up with and led me to this path - I will forever be grateful for your mentorship.
I have thrived in this field and loved every minute of it. Started as a production manager and evolved faster than I ever imagined (Even during a pandemic!!)
The next step up was to supervisor, operations manager, and now Producer where I am confident and delighted to say that I am not only using my experience to deliver high-quality service within international & local film, animation, and media industries, but I am now teaching young media lovers just as I was, hope to continue to use my time to inspire others while I continue to learn and grow in my producing career.
